New club captain Tom Collins, who took over from Joe Pipkin in September has enlisted the support of Jeremy Greaves in a new role as first team manager.
Jeremy is a familiar face at the club – he was captain from 2012-2014 before moving to the role of coach, standing down last winter.

New Pavilion still not complete
Disapprovingly, construction delays mean that the new Pavilion will not be handed over until early October.
The building contractor and Guildford Borough (which owns the freehold of The Sports Ground under a charitable trust) remain committed to ensuring that the building will be completed to a very high standard and will be a superb facility for Guildford CC Members and the local community.

Good to see the weather is at last turning a little warmer as the proper season gets underway.
The Under 15s were first into action winning their ECB cup match against Blackheath at a canter – Blackheath 96-5 in 20 overs, G 99-0 in 11 with an unbeaten half century from Will.
The U12s opened with a tense last over victory in their Two Counties match against Farnham but the U9s fell short against Frensham.

The annual Beer Festival run by the Club in July is our major fundraising project. We will start planning for the 2015 event in the Autumn. I am pleased to say that most of the hardworking Committee from this year will stay on but I would like to refresh the group with a couple of new people with new ideas.
