Women & Girls’ Day

Guildford will be the venue for this year’s Surrey Women & Girls Day on Tuesday 22 May. It is being staged to promote the game for youngsters, with primary school pupils going through their paces at Woodbridge Road from 10am to 12.30pm and secondary age girls from 1.30-4pm.

Guildford Festival 2018

Surrey will host Somerset in the 80th anniversary of the Guildford Cricket Festival next June.

The first-class fixtures from the ECB, released late last month, have brought Woodbridge Road a four-day Specsavers County Championship Division One match starting on Wednesday June 20, although there will be no one-day game.

The victorious u15 squad who won the ECB National title and Harry Seacombe Trophy at Rugby School with Yorkshire and England All Rounder David Willey.

Newsletter August 2017

New Pavilion still not complete

Disapprovingly, construction delays mean that the new Pavilion will not be handed over until early October.

The building contractor and Guildford Borough (which owns the freehold of The Sports Ground under a charitable trust) remain committed to ensuring that the building will be completed to a very high standard and will be a superb facility for Guildford CC Members and the local community.

Training News and latest Results

Nets throughout the summer

The last formal junior training was 28 July and Sunday 30th for the U8s.

The nets can still be used but players must be supervised by an adult at all times and must wear the appropriate safety kit. However, Senior Training takes place on Thursday evenings and Women’s Training on Wednesdays, so best to avoid those times.

“Stop Press” congratulations to the U15s and U13s as they complete a County Cup double!
