Hello again and welcome to the latest updates

Winter Nets at RGS

Winter Nets at RGS are up and running and continue until to Sunday March 27th with the exception of Feb 21st (Half Term) and March 6th (Mother’s Day).

The timings are as follows:

  • Girls/Ladies – 12 to 1pm
  • U9s & below – 1 to 2pm
  • U10s & U11s – 2 to 3pm
  • 30 minute break
  • U12s & U13s – 3.30pm to 5pm
  • U14s & U15s – 5 to 6.30pm

The Junior Coaching is in the hands of New Zealander Matt Teale. Seam bowler Matt joined Guildford as the overseas professional in 2011 and has never left. Perhaps it was the attractions of Woodbridge Road or his now wife, Charley that persuaded him to stay! Matt made his debut for Surrey 2nd Xl in 2015.

24 hour cycling fundraiser

Cycle Marathon

Come along and cheer on or join in with our very own Bradley Wiggins, Junior Chairman Neil Garrett.

From 9am on Saturday 19th March until 9am on 20th March 2016 we will be holding a 24 hour cycling fundraiser in Guildford to raise money to undertake vital maintenance & repairs to the nets at Guildford CC as well as for the Tom Maynard Trust for developing young disadvantaged sports people.

We will be in Guildford Town Centre during the day & then retreat to the clubhouse for the evening & overnight.

How can you help?

We need cyclists as well as supporters able to hold a bucket & increase awareness of our event. Below is a link to our Doodle Scheduler, please do go through & next to your name either put ‘Cyclist’, ‘Supporter’ or ‘Both’. There are 30 min time slots all the way through from 8am on Saturday to 10am on Sunday so you can do as many or as few slots as you like! We’d love to see as many of you as possible.

Whilst we would love all age groups to get involved there is a height requirement for the bike and as such the cycling element is limited to age 14+, (Under 18s must have parental consent). However all ages are welcome to come down & support the event. We would also be delighted if any friends or family want to add a bit of pedal power or support:

What about fundraising?

We will have buckets for the fundraising, but we’d also like your friends & family to get sponsoring the team of cyclists. We have a go fund me page set up, alternatively sponsorship forms are available on request:
