Nick French, Guildford CC Senior Head Coach 2017

Posted by:

I am very pleased to announce that Nick French has agreed to take on the Senior Head Coach role for the 2017 season.

Nick French joined Guildford CC in 2012 and is a top order batsman and occasional medium pace bowler. He qualified as an ECB Level 3 coach in 2011 and spent four years working for Surrey CCC coaching county-age-group teams. He spent two summers as a cricket coach at Cranleigh School whilst studying Sport and Exercise Science at university. After graduating, he started teaching at Cranleigh Prep School. He is currently Head of Geography and Head of Year 7 and continues to coach cricket in both Prep and senior schools.

He replaces Jeremy Greaves who has done an outstanding job for the club over the last four years but his commitments with Surrey have increased and he is unable to carry on in the role.

On behalf of the whole club we welcome Nick to the new role and must also thank Jeremy for all his support and enthusiasm over the last few years. Jeremy is still very keen to stay involved with Guildford CC which is great news as well.

Many thanks
