Happy New Year

Posted by:

Dear all,

As we approach the new year, I wanted to thank again all our wonderful volunteers and players for helping us to retrieve so much during 2020. A difficult season for many but we rescued it well and played 132 matches across the club between July and September.

For your final holiday reading, I would recommend you to this month’s (January) Cricketer magazine. David Frith writes an excellent article entitled ‘Guildford – the real cradle of cricket’. For those of you ...

Movember Thank You from Oakleaf & Call for Volunteers to Deliver Xmas Care Packages

Posted by:

The final figure we raised was £2,068.75 which is an incredible amount for such a great cause in our local community. Thank you all for helping us reach our target (and beyond!) and supporting the guys who grew (or attempted to grow) some hair on their top lip.

Jen, from Oakleaf Enterprise sent us this message:

Over the last week I have managed to coerce a group of the men’s senior teams to participate in this years ‘Movember’ challenge kicking off tomorrow. For those unaware, this is where men grow a moustache for the month of November to raise awareness for men’s health.

We have also decided that this is a good opportunity to build the club’s links with the local community and so I am delighted to announce that our fundraising efforts will be to support ...

Following the government easing some of the lockdown restrictions, we have received confirmation from the ECB that we can now start to open up the nets at Woodbridge Road.
