Social Members are very welcome at Guildford Cricket Club. This is a great time to join.
During the Summer of 2017, the new Pavilion will open. The building is currently being completely refurbished and extended, with an additional floor being added. This superb new facility will make The Sports Ground at Woodbridge Road one of the very best cricket grounds.
The building has a passenger lift and is fully accessible to those in a wheelchair or with a buggy. There are accessible toilets. There is parking for 50 cars in the Pavilion car park and ample additional car parking space at the Railway End of the ground.
Social Members will have extended access to the new facilities. These include a 130 seat, air-conditioned function room, a bar with Sky Sports, free wi-fi throughout, and a balcony with superb view of The Sports Ground.
As soon as we receive your completed application to join:
- We will send you your personal Membership Pass/Fixture Booklet. This contains details of all Guildford Cricket Club matches in 2017, other matches played at The Sports Ground (including the Surrey Cricket Festival) plus information about other events and generally about the Club.
- We will enclose one complimentary Admission Ticket to the Guildford Beer Festival, which takes place at The Sports Ground on 2-3 June 2017 (public admission costs £10).
- You will also receive an invitation to join us at the Guildford Cricket Club Cricket Week in August. This will include a special Evening Reception for Social members on Thursday 15 August.
Your Membership Pass entitles you to free admission to all match days when Surrey CCC play at The Sports Ground. In 2017, Surrey will play Essex in a four-day County Championship match starting on Friday 9 June (public admission costs £15 per day). Then on 23 and 26 August, the Surrey Stars will play two Kia Women’s Cricket Super League T20 matches (public admission costs £5 per game).
The Club has an active, all year-round programme of social events and, as a Social Member, you will be notified about these well in advance.
How much does it cost?
Social Membership of Guildford Cricket Club is a real bargain. The subscription for 2017 is £30, with persons aged over 65 paying £20.
If you join now, you will be entitled to renew your membership automatically in 2018. We are expecting the new facilities will attract many new members and business users, such that there may be a waiting list for membership in 2018.
