Guildford has a variety of men’s teams to suit all abilities and motivations playing in a variety of leagues, cups and competitions. Details of the various teams, their captains and contact details are outlined below.

1st XI
Our 1st XI are in Division 1 of the new Surrey Cricket Championship which starts in 2025 as they strive for promotion.

2ndXI
Guildford’s 2nd XI will play in Division 3 West of the new league. Under the new linear structure there is scope to move up the divisions.
Captain: Matt Teale who took over as captaincy last year continues in the role as they look to build on their previous performances.

Our 3rd XI face regionalised opposition in Division 8 West, which features several of their former Premier division teams .
Captain: Mike Collins takes over the captaincy for 2025 to steer them ahead in this new structure.

4th XI
After a highly successful season of friendlies our 4th XI made their debut in the I-Anson league in 2023. They finished as champions in Div 7 and narrowly missed out on promotion from Division 6 in 2024. With a growing number of talented youngsters this league provides a useful transition into competitive senior competition.

Surrey Slam
The Surrey Slam is a T20 league played by more than 100 teams across the county. Initially the groups are organised regionally before moving on to a knock out phase.
1st XI players are exempt and most sides have a mixture of seniors and juniors. Guildford made their debut in the 2019 season.
Guildford Grizzlies
The Grizzlies play in the Surrey Slam Midweek T20 league. Their captain is Jon Burrowes

Guildford’s cricket week in its present format is 6 years old, relaunched to coincide with Guildford cricket clubs 150th anniversary (2016) since the original Guildford Cricket Club began playing in the town. Cricket week now involves all sections from the club including our Juniors, Ladies and Men’s senior cricket, with social events during the evening.
